What You Should Put in Your Backpack
Note: Your pack should be 45–60–70 lbs max including food, water, tent, and weapon.
Try not to pack too many extras — you will have an animal to help pack out!
Clothing

- Toque/Stocking Cap

Items in the Pack
- Sleeping bag and stuff sack
- Thermarest sleeping pad
- Extra clothing — not too much
- Knife – scalpel
- Water bottle (2x 2L large Nalgene)
- Food for hunt (we will supply) — roughly 15 lbs
- Ammo — minimum 1 full box or 6 extra arrows/broadheads
- Rifle or bow
- Binoculars/rangefinder – Leica Geovids
- Lighters/fire starter
- Headlamp – Peax Equipment
- Large rain fly for pack
Optional Items
- Spotting scope/tripod – guides have these, but good to have if you're a sheep hunter
- Walking sticks – recommended
- Rangefinder – angle, recommended for bow hunters
- Sunglasses
- Special food items you may want – candy, flavored drink mix, coffee singles you like
- Extra waist buckle for pack
- Garmin inReach or sat phone – highly recommended
- Personal items (toothbrush, etc.)
