Equipment List Moose hunts:

 

Hunters need to keep gear and rifle under 60 lbs!!!

 

Set of quality raingear( Helly Hansen, Sitka Gear or Kuiu )

Warm insulated jacket that can fit underneath your rain jacket ( I prefer a down water resistant jacket)

Light jacket or hoody that you can layer underneath you heavier Jacket

Beanie or Bomber hat with the fur ear flaps, very warm hat!

 2 pair Insulated water proof gloves or gore tex

Knee high rubber boots( I prefer Muck Boots Wetland) Insulated at least 1000grams

Headlight and change of batteries

Sleeping Bag rated 0 Fahrenheit or colder, does not have to be a mummy bag!

We provide foam mats but if you want the extra comfort we recommend thermarest neo air 24 ‘’ wide and whatever length you need.  Theses are very small and well worth bringing.

Ski goggles come in handy when the weather is bad as the boats don’t have windshields.

 

General Clothing

 

Most people pack more than they’ll ever use, what we suggest is what the average use is.

2 hunting pants or jeans, 2 t-shirts and 2 Long sleeve

Pair of socks for each day, 2 pair of wool socks

Underwear, your discretion but normally 3-4 pairs and one pair of long johns

A day pack or dry bag comes in handy to keep your gear in

Small knife, lip balm, sunscreen, earplugs( for snoring),  reading material

Good binoculars usually ten power is best(  Leica, Swarovski, )

Camera and extra battery or charging cord as most camps have a generator

40 rounds of ammo

Camp shoes

One water bottle and  water treatment system for Giardia !!! Ask any sporting good store for recommendation

Small telescopic fishing rod and reel with small tackle box

Small spinners and spoons work best for the Grayling

Iridium Sat Phone or InReach( Highly  recommended)
