Jet Boat Trips
"Yukon" - the name means "Big Water" but the image it evokes is one of untamed wilderness, mountains, wild rivers, grizzly bear and wolves. A land blessed with a cold
winter so its population remains small and it’s air and water pure. We offer you the opportunity to explore this great land, enjoying its beauty, fishing its pristine waters
and relaxing in its solitude.
Our jet boats will not speed you through white water canyons, roar up rapids or blast through the wilderness. Instead we will sneak up on moose feeding quietly, glide
through the white water and float past the hidden greyling. You will be awed not by the thrill of a high speed run but by the thrill of the grizzly plodding along the bank
or the cow and calf moose who pay no attention to you.
As part of our outfitting business we have towed boats behind snowmobiles (in some cases over 100 miles) into some stretches of rivers. These are normally used for
moose hunting but in May, June, July and August they are available to take you fishing or sightseeing.
Coal River Springs
These remote thermal springs, rated #4 in all of Canada, are the center of the Yukon’s second Territorial Park and first Ecological Reserve. Access is limited to
helicopter, a man-killing hike, or jetboating with us.
With us you can fly or ATV into Pike Lake and then hike to our jet boat and visit the springs. This alone is worth the effort but throw in excellent Pike fishing on
several lakes, greyling and Dolly Varden fishing on the river and you have a great two day trip. Now add a couple days of touring up the river through Bob's Canyon and to the
forks plus we can go down to the Rock and explore this untouched river and you have a real adventure.
See the Environment Yukon site for more information about
Coal River Springs Territorial Park.
Upper Hyland Adventure
This three to five day adventure features a jet boat ride through the Selwyn Mountains, hikes into the high country, fishing many streams and lakes and wildlife photography.
Day 1 has you leaving Watson Lake and driving up to the Nahannie Campground where we load the boat and head up the Coal River. Moose, bear and wolves frequent the banks and mountain
goats are often spotted on the cliffs. You leave the Hyland River and head up Ceaser Creek to spend the first night at Lowell Creek cabin. Next morning we drop back down to
the Hyland and continue up past the mouth of the Little Hyland to a small lake where we set up camp. There is good fishing in the lake and moose like feeding in it.
Day 3 has you continuing up the river looking for goats on the cliffs, fishing the many creeks, panning for gold and enjoying the scenery. We drift back down to the lake
for the evening.
Day four has us breaking camp and starting the leisurely trip back to the vehicle and then to Watson Lake.
